28 Kilfaddy Road Garden

Mature garden of over one acre densely planted with a wide range of trees and shrubs, herbaceous plants and a small hardy plant nursery. Pond and bog garden, fruit and vegetables, apiary, greenhouse etc – A garden which needs exploring to discover all the secret nooks and crannies. Wildflower area. Alpines. The garden has been featured twice on BBC Tv and twice on BBC Radio.
Designed and planted by the owners over 36 years from scratch.

Spring/summer highlights: Bulbs (Snowdrops, aconites) wealth of spring flowers and shrubs , leucojum etc., fritillaria meleagris.

Autumn highlights: Late perennials

Winter highlights: hellebores, flowering shrubs

Unique/rare flora: Patches of native orchids in grassy areas.

Kilfaddy Road is second left off the Moneymore Road from the centre of Magherafelt. Number 28 is 1 mile from the end of this road, and is situated at the top of a hill on the left hand side after the wind turbine.
