The photographs in this special installation exhibition uses the simple conceit of simulating the literal point of view of characters from the play, testing the relationship between photographic ‘realism’ and theatrical ‘suspension of disbelief’.

The work of Irish artist Gerard Byrne has been shown at international biennials including Documenta 13 (2012), the Venice Biennale (2011), the Sydney Biennale (2008) and the 8th Istanbul Biennial (2003) as well as in major museums in Europe and the US. In 2007 the artist represented Ireland at the Venice Biennale.
