AELA (Amelia Earhart Legacy Association)

The aim of the Amelia Earhart Legacy Association (AELA) a voluntary, community group is "To promote the Amelia Earhart Legacy through advancement of Arts, Heritage, Tourism and Education within the community" The first female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean successfully and cause a global sensation, landed in a field in Derry~Londonderry Northern Ireland on May 21st 1932. Inspired by generation before us who fell in love with Amelia we wish to promote her story to the community and visitors from across the globe.
