Abháinn Cruises Scenic Boat Tours

We offer leisurely river or sea trips, exhilarating coastal navigation and sea safaris.

Trips along the River Bann from Coleraine to Toomebridge provide passengers with a gentle yet scenic tour past places such as Portglenone Forest and through the small freshwater lake Lough Beg, which is a protected National Nature Reserve due to the area's many rare plants and migrating birds.

Trips through Northern Ireland's largest lake Lough Neagh can include stopovers at Coney Island and Rams Island, both beautiful and steeped in history with ruins to explore including a 13th century Anglo-Norman motte and a 16th century stone tower on Coney, and another round tower and the ruins of the O'Neills' 19th century summer house on Rams Island.

Tailor made trips around the North Coast include Donegal, where you can visit islands such as Inishtrahull, Gola and Tory. Other sights such as Mussenden Temple, Dunluce Castle, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, the Giant's Causeway and the spectacular cliff path walk at the Gobbins are just some of the picturesque locations which must be seen from the sea.

Tours of Belfast Harbour and Belfast Lough and days out to Rathlin Island are also available. You can stop for a pint or cup of tea on Rathlin or sample Emma's fresh fish and chips at Emma's Chip Ahoy.

Feel free to bring your own picnic on any trip or we can arrange for sandwiches and drinks for your group. We can make stops at various harbours such as Portrush or Ballintoy for you to enjoy a meal or simply explore. We will cater to your wishes for each trip. Our gorgeous coastline must be seen from the sea so call us to organise an unforgettable summer adventure for your family, friends or workmates.

For the more adventurous we can take you further afield to the Scottish Hebridean islands of Islay, Staffa and Iona and visit the amazing Corryvreckan Whirlpool. Distillery visits are available to Islay. We also make trips to the Isle of Man, both day trips and overnight stops. Snorkelling can also be arranged at various locations for both beginners or more experienced snorkellers.

There are ten passenger seats available per trip, with lifejacket and dry suit provided. You can pay per passenger or charter the boat for a half day or full day excursion. Prices start from £25 per person. A minimum number of passengers are required for trips.
