Adventure Racing

If you are seeking the ultimate adventure in the outdoors then multi discipline Adventure Racing is for you! Competing in teams of 2-4, anything can be thrown at you in these events, running, cycling, canoeing, horse riding... teams must travel between control points, solving problems and navigating their own route. Adventure Racing puts the emphasis on fun and teamwork.

How to get started?
Do a race! Adventure Racing is for everyone and anyone, and our races, whilst challenging, are designed to be fun for all who take part.

Is it easy?
For Adventure Racing you will definitely need a partner, a bike, determination, and the will to get finished! Proficiency in canoeing, swimming, mountain biking, hill running and navigation are a pre-requisite also. Adventure Racing Northern Ireland is a steep learning curve for the first-timer but this is part of its appeal. Whether it be navigation, kit, teamwork, there is always something more to learn, no matter what level you are at, and that is what makes it such a great activity!

Is it expensive?
Adventure Racing entrance fees start at about £40 per team. Most specialist equipment is provided by the organisers, but you will likely need a mountain bike and some suitable clothing.
