An Old Rectory

About

Former Victorian rectory built 1896 in leafy south Belfast. Nearby: Queen's University, Lyric Theatre, King's Hall Ulster Museum, Botanic Gardens and US Consulate. There is a complimentary off street car park and a frequent bus service to/from city centre (10 minutes).

Concierge/help desk for booking tours, restaurants or generally giving advice on how to make the best use of your time in Belfast. We are located very close (eight minutes) to the US Consulate/American Embassy, for those attending for a visa application and we hold your belongings (mobile phone, case etc) until you return.

Our beds are comfortable and rooms spacious with magazines, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and fresh milk and wi-fi throughout.

Morning papers are available for you to read, in front of the fire, while eating our delicious breakfasts. We all know that breakfast is an important part of the day, which is why we offer such a plentiful selection on our breakfast menu and, where possible, use locally sourced produce for our guests. We squeeze our own orange juice daily, make our own raspberry jam and Irish whiskey marmalade, bake our own wheaten, soda, potato breads and make our own bagels and pancetta scones. So our breakfast menu can be enjoyed by everyone we have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, plus soya and rice milk are available.
We are winners of the Aga-Rayburn National Best Breakfast Award and the judges agreed that The Old Rectory’s breakfast “was simply the best in Northern Ireland” and we keep to that standard.

Should you have to depart early we can offer a continental breakfast tray or a bacon/sausage/frittata sandwich. Gluten free bread & soya milk. A supper menu is available Monday-Thursday evenings.

Enjoy a complimentary hot whiskey (7-8pm) in the drawing room whilst reading books on Ireland, Irish Castles or houses or playing chess/solitaire.
