Apple Day at The Ballance House

The Ballance House is pleased to announce that the annual Apple Day fair will take place on Saturday 15 October 2016 from 12pm - 4pm.
A fun and creative afternoon out for the whole family, this year Apple Day features jumping clay, arts and crafts with Linda, and face painting. Enjoy acoustic guitar and tickle your taste buds with delicious toffee sauce from Brambleberry Jams along with apple dippers and sample locally made apple juice. Armagh apples and apple juice will also be available to purchase. The popular tea barn will be serving home-made soup, sandwiches, traybakes and apple pie and cream.

Apple day is part of a UK wide scheme to celebrate traditional varieties of apple and has been held at The Ballance House for a number of years. The Ballance House is a farmhouse museum and birthplace of John Ballance, New Zealand's Premier 1891-93. The house is open to the public between April and September on Sundays and Bank Holidays 2.00pm - 5.00pm, (excluding 12 July) and can be booked for tour group visits all year round.
