Specialist farmers and artisan producers are plentiful in Northern Ireland and these highly skilled people have an evident passion for food. Recently there has been a revival of speciality meat producers. Finnebrogue Venison, Downpatrick has put Northern Ireland on the map in London’s top restaurants with its young and delicate grass-fed venison.
