Aunty May's Preserves

Aunty May’s Preserves was established in 2008 to produce a small amount of homemade jams and other preserves for local farmers markets. At that time all the produce was made in my own home. Since then the product range has grown to over 30 different varieties and the business has expanded to a portacabin at the side of my house and Aunty May’s now supplies a number of shops across Northern Ireland.

All of the jams, chutneys and marmalades are made in small batches using traditional methods taught to me by my mother and grandmother. Many of the recipes used have been passed down through the generations and others are my own recipes to be passed down to the next generation. Where possible local fruit especially the bramley apple, are used for the preserves and everything is chopped, stirred and potted by hand.
