A significant Grade A listed house built for the present owner's Great, Great, Great Grandfather between 1846 and 1850 to the designs of the distinguished artist, Sir Charles Lanyon. A conservatory and billiard room wing, also by Lanyon, was added c.1870Pleasure grounds extend to c.30acres with a walled garden and an extensive rhododendron collection. Pick your own fruit and vegetables.

THE HOUSE AND GARDENS ARE OPEN ON A BY APPOINTMENT BASIS ONLY

From time-to-time, the house may be open more generally – for example on European Heritage Open Days and in connection with charitable or other events taking place locally. However, please always check in advance before undertaking a journey.
