Beech Tree Café, on the Falls Road, is the ideal place for tourists following the West Belfast mural trail to take a break and catch up on emails. If you bring your own laptop you can have free wi-fi access while sitting at our outside bistro tables enjoying the sunshine.
This famous corner site is the assembly point for the annual Republican Easter Parades to commemorate the 1916 Easter Rising. The gable wall has a magnificent mural celebrating the Easter Rising. New murals have been added across the street to honour the centenary of Fianna Eireann. Beech Tree is a bright, welcoming, coffee shop with wheelchair-friendly access and cosy padded bench seating. You can see the world go by as you relax in our sunny bay window cushioned benches. On warm days nothing can be nicer than to sit outside at a bistro table under the landmark striped awning and enjoy the bustle of Beechmount and the Falls Road.
We make our tea in properly warmed brown teapots and serve it with home-made scones made each day with fresh butter.
For coffee lovers: we serve a full range of milky lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, espressos and satisfying supersize filter coffee.
If you want something to warm the cockles of your heart we always have home made stew –made with slow-cooked shin of beef– and traditional vegetable soup, both served with toasted wheaten.
Beech Tree is also a lively lunch venue, with local residents, workers and visitors calling in for sandwiches, lunch specials and freshly made Irish all day breakfasts. We also have exciting vegetarian specials such as Spanish onion & potato omelette and authentic chick pea curry. If you phone ahead we can make up your order to be ready on the table when you arrive.
All our specials are home made and are available throughout the day. Take your time and enjoy relaxed summer days at Beechmount’s new place to see and be seen. Beech Tree café – for friendly local service.
