Belfast Christmas Market

The Belfast Christmas Market returns to Belfast City Hall on Saturday 19 November from 12 noon. With even more variety for all Christmas Market lovers, this year's market is set to be the best yet!

Find an exciting selection of hand-painted pottery, continental food, decorations, and a wide range of festive arts and crafts from across Europe and beyond.

20 additional stalls located at the front of Belfast City Hall, outside the main entrance gates, will feature numerous local food and craft producers to celebrate Northern Ireland's Year of Food and Drink 2016.

The market is open:
• Monday - Wednesday: 10am - 8pm
• Thursday - Saturday: 10am - 10pm (finishes at 8pm on Thursday 22 December)

• Sunday: 1pm - 6pm.

Santa's Grotto and Post Box

Don't forget about Santa's Grotto which will be open during these hours:

• Monday - Wednesday: 11am - 6pm
• Thursday - Friday: 11am - 7pm
• Saturday: 11am - 6pm
• Sunday: 1pm - 6pm.
If you post Santa a letter via his post box (in the grounds of the Belfast Christmas Market) by 21 December, you can expect to receive a letter back from Father Christmas!

Buddy Scheme

The market is keen to promote accessibility for everyone, which is what their Buddy Scheme is focused on. Individuals with additional accessibility requirements are encouraged to attend the market, with or without a buddy, during a quieter time of day (10am -12 noon, Monday - Wednesday). Free tours of the market can be provided (booking in advance is required). Educational Tours

Free school tours for primary school children can be arranged. Due to the high level of demand each year, these tours will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and must be booked in advance. To book a tour, please visit www.marketplaceeurope.com.

All of the tours include a guided walk around the market where pupils will learn about the language, food and cultural backgrounds of each of the market traders. Children will also be given an opportunity to sample some tasty food products along the way! Tours run daily Monday - Friday, from 11am - 4pm.
