In 1997, Belfast's magnificent £32 million Waterfront Hall opened for business. It was five years in the design, planning and building, but the city can now take real pride in this splendid, glass fronted, circular pleasure dome, which, at night appears to float on the River Lagan. Facilities include a main auditorium, BT Studio, 16 meeting rooms, two bar areas and a restaurant. In 2002 The Waterfront Hall was selected as Europe's premier international conference centre and runner-up in the International 2002 Apex Award. The Waterfront Hall continues to symbolise excellence and enjoyment.
