Catalyst Arts is a multi-purpose volunteer run arts centre that facilitates local and international artists in realising projects in Northern Ireland and further a field. Catalyst provides space and support for the presentation of innovative projects from a broad range of art activities including performance/time-based media, installation, painting, video, photography, music and literature. Catalyst Arts is always a gallery, but the building has also been a 24 hour cinema, a recording studio, a publishing house, a skip, a radio station, a jumble sale, a wrestling ring, a sauna, a distillery, an agnostic chapel, a banquet hall, a darts team, a leisure centre and a night club. For ten pounds you can become a Catalyst member where benefits include receiving all information of upcoming events or opportunities, access to participate in the annual members show, reduced rates on paying events, access to equipment such as video camera etc, as well as entry to the organisations annual general meeting. The Catalyst Arts is also available for workshops, conferences, film screenings or private functions. Seating for the space is 150 or standing at 250 maximum. The gallery is equiped with media including projectors, monitors and sound system.Gallery opening times: Tuesday - Saturday 11.00 - 17.00
