Porthole Cottage dates back to the early 1800's. Some young guests amazed at the cottage's 25" thick walls have been known to describe it as a 'mini castle'!! The cottage is situated in tranquil countryside just off the world-famous Antrim Coast Road within easy walking distance of the beach at Whitepark Bay, and close to the many attractions of the Causeway Coast. Ballintoy, Portbraddan, Giant’s Causeway, Portballintrae, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunseverick Harbour, Dunluce Castle and Bushmills are just some of the places to visit during your stay at Porthole Cottage. The cottage contains a comprehensive supply of literature on local attractions.

Porthole Cottage is equally suited to couples looking for peace and quiet in tranquil rural surroundings, or families with young children who can ride their bicycles or play safely in the large courtyard at the front of the property.

Two bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Space for cot in twin room. Spacious kitchen containing dining table and all modern appliances together with electric cooker and traditional Aga type range which delivers the oil-fired central heating. Relax in the comfortable living room with open fireplace and colour television. Bathroom has bath with overhead shower.

Selection of books, DVDs, Videos and games for evenings and those days between visits.

Outside there is a large private parking/play area.

Location / Directions

From Bushmills take A2 for Ballintoy/Ballycastle. Continue on this road for approx 6 miles. At Whitepark Bay turn right into Moycraig Road. No 19 is up the second lane on the right. At the fork in the lane keep left. Turn left again when you see the No 19 on the pillar.
