City Hotel Visual Arts Competition

The concept for the competition came about when an employee of the hotel, Matthew McCartney, donated two pieces of art to the hotel in 2011. The theme for this year’s competition is “Our City”. The competition is designed to offer A Level Art Students a platform to showcase their work and gain valuable experience and knowledge of the mechanics of a professional art exhibition.

First prize is £500 and the winning piece of art will be hung in the City Hotel for one year. Second prize is £300 and third prize is £200. All entries will receive £50 for being selected to represent their school in the competition.
