Clanconnel Brewing Company was founded in June 2008 by Mark Pearson, an enthusiastic and proficient craft brewer, with a desire to create more choice and alternatives to the mass produced beers that exist in the marketplace. The initial product Weavers Gold Blonde Ale was developed at CAFRE, Loughry College and production began in Warringstown shortly thereafter.
The beer is handcrafted in small batches using only the finest ingredients – barley, hops, water and yeast. No artificial additives or preservatives are used to enhance the product. The beer is brewed in the traditional way and then allowed to condition for a period of time before being triple filtered, then lightly carbonated and before being bottled, ensuring that the freshness and flavour is always maintained. As well as producing Weavers Gold Blonde Ale a new product McGraths Real Red Ale was launched in July 2010. The products are available in a number of bars and restaurants throughout Northern Ireland and can be purchased in a range of independents retailers.
