Eel cottage can offer the visitor the flexibility of a five star cottage but at a lower cost for the smaller group. All of the accommodation is located on the first floor and is accessible for those who may be less mobile.
The cottage is located on a farm only 200 meters from the scenic Lough Aghery. Visitors on holiday or on a short break can relax and enjoy the natural beauty and tranquillity of the area by using the private facilities at Lough Aghery. The lake offers excellent coarse fishing and visitors can take a lake side walk and observe swans, great crested grebes, ducks cormorants, herons and if you are lucky an otter. Some water sports are available during the summer months. The family also have a small collection of ornamental game birds on the farm.
Those with an interest in history can visit local attractions such as the birth place of Harry Ferguson (Massey Ferguson tractors) or stroll through the idyllic streets of Hillsborough. For the more energetic they can walk in local forest parks or the Mourne Mountains.
