Coastal Life - an exhibition exploring the maritime heritage of Strangford Lough

01 July - 31 July
From seaweed farming to tidal energy, the coastal communities of Strangford Lough and the Ards Peninsula have created pioneering industries from the natural resources around them. Through a mix of exhibition, demonstrations and living history, this heritage is explored from its prehistoric origins to the innovations of tomorrow. Why not also take the opportunity to explore the Stranfford Lough Hall, Irish Coast Zone, Open Sea Tank, Marine Discovery and Education Suite and the Seal Sanctuary and Hospital to experience the amazingly diverse marine life that exists around these islands.
