Down Royal Golf Club

Down Royal Golf Club is a proprietary club playing at Down Royal Park Golf Course.

This is a young club, founded in 1997 and affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland the next year in 1998. The course was opened by the late great Fred Daly OBE in 1989. The course is a traditional mixture of heathland and parkland, and enjoys one of the driest and most pleasant rural locations in Irish Golf, making it playable all year round. The sandy soils and high water table ensure that the course enjoys an excellent mix of water features and holes which run through beautiful avenues of gorse and bracken.
