Dundrum Bay Holiday Homes are a terrace of Holiday Homes in the coastal village of Dundrum 25 miles south of Belfast and are perfect as a gateway to a holiday in the beautiful Mourne Mountains. There are eight holiday homes, the five larger houses sleep six persons, and they have three en suite bedrooms one of which is on the ground floor, with walk in wet room shower, suitable for persons with mobility difficulties. The second house type sleeps four persons has two en suite bedrooms; both upstairs. Each house has a large open plan kitchen/sitting room with a log burning stove and looks directly out on the ever changing tidal inner bay. The holiday homes have spectacular views over the inner Dundrum Bay across to Murlough Nature reserve and further to where the Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea at Newcastle. Each house has its own patio with a Park style picnic bench opening out to a large communal garden. Two of the houses that have individual secure gardens are designated as pet-friendly. All the Holiday Homes are all WiFi enabled with Freesat TV, video and DVD; baby cots, stair gates and high chairs are also available.
Dundrum is a great place for dining out, with two Michelin rated restaurants, - The Bucks Head, and The Mourne Seafood Bar, plus The Dundrum Inn winner of 'Taste of Ulster' Best Pub. Nearby is the Maghera Inn, which has yet again won N.I. Pub of the Year award for best Pub Food.
The Holiday Homes are ideal as a touring centre to discover Northern Ireland, Belfast and the Titanic Centre are under an hour away and the Giants Causeway two hours or as a base for a walking, painting or cycling holiday; bikes to hire on site. There is lots to see and do in the local area from visiting Dundrum Castle to the new Castlewellan purpose built bike and walking trails, Murlough Beach and Nature Reserve, and the nearby seaside town of Newcastle.
For group bookings, Hill Walkers etc, we can accommodate 42 persons in single beds or doubles as requested.
