East Coast Adventure Centre

Walking Route
With our mountain centre nestled just outside the village of Rostrevor, our water sports centres on the shores of Carlingford Lough in Warrenpoint, our Mountain Bike Hire and Uplift service located at the Rostrevor MTB Trails in Kilbroney Forest Park and our Driving Range, Archery and Zip Line Centre located on the grounds of Mourne Park, next to Kilkeel Golf Club East Coast Adventure provides the perfect setting for any outdoor pursuits or team building experience.

With 40 superb adventure and team building activities, top quality food and accommodation and over 23 years experience delivering outdoor adventure and team building programmes, it’s not hard to see why East Coast Adventure is regarded as Ireland’s premier adventure and team building provider.

Our Mountain Centre “Knockbarragh” in the Mourne Mountains just 5 miles outside the quiet village of Rostrevor caters for groups looking for a secluded, safe environment to experience the great outdoors. Within 30 minutes drive from Knockbarragh, East Coast Adventure has access to Kilbroney, Tollymore and Castlewellan Forest parks, not to mention the Castlewellan Lake, Strangford Lough, Newry Canal and Carlingford Lough, providing us with a wealth of raw materials and natural resources.

The Mountain Centre “Knockbarragh” or Rostrevor House as many of our customers call it, boasts over 70 beds under one roof, camping for 40 people, 2 common rooms, a BBQ area, balcony & games barn.

The centre is also equipped with a dedicated office for leaders to stay in touch with the outside world, complete with wireless internet access, PC and printer. All our adventure programmes are fully catered. Bed linen, duvets and pillows are also provided for all residential visits.

A short drive from Knockbarragh takes you to our water sports headquarters in Warrenpoint, the birth place of East Coast Adventure centre, locally known as “Warrenpoint Baths”. From here groups can enjoy a whole host of adventure on Carlingford Lough, from kayaking, Banana Boating, Jet Skiing, Pier Jumping and canoeing to name just a few. The baths are also equipped with changing rooms, showers, stores and private patio area, not to mention the large salt water swimming pool, one of the last remaining in Northern Ireland.

The Mourne Mountains offer us great opportunities for Rock-climbing, Abseiling, Hill walking, Bouldering, Mountain Biking, orienteering and scrambling. From gentle waters of the Blue Lough to the lofty summits of Slieve Donard, the Mourne Mountains have it all.
A quick paddle across the Carlingford Lough takes you to our Carlingford Adventure Centre at Carlingford Sailing Club, specialising in large day groups such as transition year adventure trips, youth clubs and school tours. We also work closely with the Foy Centre to provide top quality budget accommodation and catering.

Stag and Hen groups can enjoy many different activities with East Coast Adventure, from kayaking and banana boating to Rock Climbing and archery.

Mobile Team Adventure Unit
In addition to our main activity centres, we can also come to you with our mobile team adventure unit. We operate from Slane Castle in Co Meath and Farnham Estate in Co Cavan also.
