Easter Fun at Carrickfergus Castle

21 April
Have a go at lots of eggy competitions, hunt the egg, and find out how to dye an egg. Discover why Easter eggs were not always made of chocolate, Easter bunnies used to be hares and how Easter got its name.

Children will get in free if they come wearing an Easter Bonnet or bring their decorated Easter creation; this can be a painting, a collage or 3D object.

Whilst you’re enjoying the Easter activities, you can take the opportunity to look around the famous, stunning site and visit its exhibition, which brings the history of the Castle to life.

Carrickfergus Castle opens from 10am – 6pm, with displays on from 12pm-4pm. Normal entrance charges apply except for children in bonnets or with Easter creations, who get in free. Phone 028 9335 1273 for further information or email hmenquiries@doeni.gov.uk.
