Enter the Coast Care Awards including Community Contribution to Tourism and Photograph of the Year
TIDY Northern Ireland in association with Coca-Cola is running the Coast Care Awards for the fourth year in Northern Ireland. Designed to acknowledge the excellent work of individuals and groups involved in the Coast Care Programme, the awards recognise the vital role volunteers play in protecting our coastline and inland waterways.
Two awards of particular interest are the Community Contribution to Tourism Award and the Photograph of the Year Award.
Community Contribution to Tourism Award (Group, sponsored by Northern Ireland Tourist Board)
This award recognises a community’s efforts to improve their coastal or waterway landscape to promote tourism and improve the visitor experience.
Photograph of the Year Award (Individual)
In this award, amateur photographers can submit a photograph that captures the imaginations of the judges. The image could highlight the fun and colourful activities groups have engaged in during the Coast Care programme or simply celebrate the natural beauty of Northern Ireland’s coastlines and inland waterways.
Group award winners receive a commemorative award in recognition of their efforts plus a framed certificate. Individual winners receive £100 worth of equipment of their choice.
For more information and the application form, see here. You can post or submit your entry form electronically to Patricia Magee, TIDY Northern Ireland, Bridge House, Paulett Avenue, Belfast, BT5 4HD or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The competition deadline is Friday 14th September at 5pm.
