Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival

23-27 February 2011 | www.belfastnashville.com

In February 2011, the Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival hits Botanic Avenue.

Transformed into a little Nashville, this beloved Belfast spot becomes an ode to Americana and roots music – with a week of live gigs, intimate performances, seminars and workshops.

Music lovers from far and wide, will be dusting down their guitars and strumming their fingers with the cream of American and local talent. International award winning singer Nanci Griffith, tells us: “The Songwriter's Festival in Belfast has become my annual vacation. It's an extraordinary event...” As well as Nanci, other headline acts this year include Billy Bragg, Cerys Matthews and Belfast’s own Brian Kennedy. Alongside the gigs, the annual Song Writing Convention takes place. Musicians can come along and meet internationally-renowned producers and songwriters, via seminars and workshops.

With over twenty insightful events taking place, it's the golden opportunity to hone your career with a little help from the professionals. So, head to Botanic, tap your feet, strum to the beat and seek all the musical inspiration you can handle.
