Game Fishing The Lough Neagh Catchment

Two of the best known salmon rivers of the Lough Neagh system are the Main and Moyola but Ballinderry, Blackwater and Upper Bann get their share of salmon too. The new fish pass at Toomebridge has made it much easier for the salmon to enter Lough Neagh. Some parts of these rivers suit fly fishing, while others are attractive to the silk worm fisherman. Given the right water conditions, the salmon anglers expectations may well be met. Dollaghan, the famous Lough Neagh trout takes similar lures and the fisherman is quite likely to encouter this fish while chasing his quarry, therefore adding an interesting dimension to the experience of this system.
