HMS Caroline Knit for the Navy: Make, Do and Mend (10 Oct)

10 October
Come along to one (or both) of HMS Caroline's 'hands-on' workshops about the history of clothing during wartime. Try your hand at knitting a First World War pattern for a soldier or sailor and learn about rations and style during the Second World War.

Feel free to bring your own pieces to up-style or mend, using inspiration from the past. These workshops are suitable for all levels of ability, including beginners.

This is a free workshop, however advance booking is required as spaces are limited. Please contact HMS Caroline on 028 9045 4484 or Learning.caroline@nmrn.org.uk for further information and to reserve your space. Refreshments will be provided.

You may also wish to attend the 'After a Fashion' lecture, part of the HMS Caroline lecture series at PRONI, on 6 October to get some ideas (booking for this lecture is essential).
