HMS Caroline Knit for the Navy: Make, Do and Mend (16 Oct)

16 October
Come along to one (or both) of HMS Caroline's 'hands-on' workshops about the history of clothing during wartime. Try your hand at knitting a First World War pattern for a soldier or sailor and learn about rations and style during the Second World War.
Feel free to bring your own pieces to up-style or mend, using inspiration from the past. These workshops are suitable for all levels of ability, including beginners.
This is a free workshop, however advance booking is required as spaces are limited. Please contact HMS Caroline on 028 9045 4484 or for further information and to reserve your space. Refreshments will be provided.

You may also wish to attend the 'After a Fashion' lecture, part of the HMS Caroline lecture series at PRONI, on 6 October to get some ideas (booking for this lecture is essential).
