Horseriding Treks & Trails

Drumgooland Equestrian Centre Newcastle Beach

The centres listed here specialise in trail riding for all levels; you don't have to be an expert on a horse to take part! Go for an hour or two or be adventurous and set forth on a weeklong trek! After a full day trail riding, (or even a couple of hours) there's nothing like relaxing in comfortable accommodation and savouring a delicious meal followed by a pint or two in a friendly local.

Most trail riding centres are non-residential, usually offering treks you can complete in a day. But because these centres are set in beautiful areas offering many visitor attractions, you may want to stay on for a few days, enjoy the amenities and go for a few more treks. If so, the Equestrian Centre will be happy to help arrange local accommodation (hotel, B&B or self-catering) to suit you, and will also know the best eateries and pubs nearby. Or, when you've chosen the location you like, make arrangements with the nearest Tourist Information Office.
