Images of Starlight

02 August - 30 September
From the sparkling curtain of the Milky Way to romantic moonscapes to the electric colour undulations of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), this photographic display captures the mystery and beauty of the universe.

Jointly produced by the Irish Astronomical Association, in conjunction with the Irish Astronomical Society and the Irish Federation of Astronomical Societies, Images of Starlight features Northern Ireland pictures not seen before.

Astronomers up and down Northern Ireland submitted work to be included in this collection, and over 60 photos of extremely high quality were selected, printed at large scale by Canon Ireland and professionally mounted.

Three talks about astronomy will take place at 12.30pm, 1.30pm, and 2.30pm on Tuesday 2 August. Equipment used for viewing and imaging the night sky, including binoculars, telescopes and cameras will also be displayed.
