Lecale Way

Walking Route

The Lecale WayThe Lecale Way follows the footsteps of Saint Patrick from his landing place on the shores of Strangford Lough near Raholp, around the coastline to Newcastle within the Lecale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

For naturalist and wildlife enthusiasts it is a real haven, offering a rich diversity of habitats from Strangford Lough, the largest sea lough in the British Isles, to the rocky coastline of the Irish Sea. The wildlife here is unrivalled in Europe. There is also a range of historical and archaeological sites in the area.

NB. As we do not have exact location information, this is a map of the local area.
