Co-proprietors John and Fiona Robinson and award winning chef Shaun Hanna have a combined experience of more than 70 years in the hospitality industry and have received many awards and commendations for their work.
They share a passion for local, seasonal ingredients, and champion the world class products available from the numerous artisan producers on their doorstep – best described using Shaun’s favourite phrase ‘keeping it local’.
We bake in house each morning to ensure our customers have only the freshest scones and breads and produce our own range of exclusive deli items for you to take home. We even grow some of our own herbs, salads and vegetables in our poly tunnel and kitchen garden 5 minutes away from Linen Hill at Loughbrickland – it doesn’t get fresher than that!
To sum up the team – John grows it, Shaun cooks it and Fiona bakes it.....
WHY LINEN HILL?
The restaurant is located at The OUTLET, Banbridge, overlooking the Bann Valley, which for more than 200 years has been right at the heart of Irish Linen production. Home to such famous names as the Crawfords of Ballievey, Mulligans of the Corbet, Lindsays of Ballydown and Hayes' of Millmount and Seapatrick and of course Ferguson’s who remain at the forefront of Irish linen production to this day.
WHAT WE OFFER
You can be assured of a warm welcome into our contemporary yet comfortable surroundings by one of our pleasant and well informed front of house staff. We offer a range of dining options from hot breakfasts and fantastic coffees with a range of freshly baked scones and pastries to an extensive lunch menu with daily seasonal specials, and a range of small plates and sharing platters for those of you who like it casual with a glass of wine.
If you still have room after that then you may just be tempted by our sumptuous range of mini desserts.
We haven’t forgotten about the little people...... we have young families ourselves! Our ‘Little People’ menu offers a range of firm favourites alongside some more quirky dishes, all prepared in-house using fresh (not frozen) ingredients.
