Long Line Water Trails

Flow with nature through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP).

Long Line Water Trails is a Water Skills Academy accredited SUP school based in Limavady. Begin at Swanns Bridge on the River Roe where beginners are taught the basic skills and techniques to this new and fast growing sport.

With a number of trails to enjoy through the natural waterways of Binevenaghs AONB. This is a sport which can be enjoyed at any pace but will also give to time to take in the scenes while hearing about the heritage of the local area by your knowledgeable instructor.

With Trails available for all standards this is a great way to see the sights with small numbers in each group and a range of trails to suit everyone's needs.

Minimum age of 16 years old

With a maximum group of size of 6 this creates a sustainable service which prevents congestion of local waterways and shows respect to other water users.

Location / Directions

From Limavady: Long Line Water Trails meets at Swanns Bridge Picnic Area on the River Roe, 5 miles north of Limavady. Continue for 5 miles along the coast road until you drive over the bridge and then take an immediate right into the picnic area where you can park for free.

From Belfast: Take the M2 North where you will exit onto the A26 sign posted for Antrim / Ballymena and Coleraine. Head straight for Coleraine. Once you arrive in Coleraine continue onto the A2 sign posted for Castlerock/Downhill. Follow the road past Downhill and continue down the road through Bellarena. You will finally see a sign post to exit left for Limavady/Londonderry. Take this exit and pull into the Swanns Bridge Picnic area straight after you take the left.

From Dublin: Follow road North to Newry and keep on the A29 towards Armagh. Follow signs for Coleraine. Once you arrive in Coleraine continue onto the A2 sign posted for Castlerock/Downhill. Follow the road past Downhill and continue down the road through Bellarena. You will finally see a sign post to exit left for Limavady/Londonderry. Take this exit and pull into the Swanns Bridge Picnic area straight after you take the left.
