Long Routes

There are a variety of long distance routes in Northern Ireland, over 60 miles in length, suited to touring cyclists who want a relaxing and gently undulating journey. You may want to cycle just part of them or build them into a longer holiday.

Maps are available for all featured routes. Visit www.sustransshop.co.uk or contact the nearest Tourist Information Centre. Charges may vary, check when ordering.

Just Some Ideas

Coast Road,

A rural winding road that hugs the coastline. Sea views are on one side and rugged steep hillsides are on the other. (The route follows the Causeway Coastal Route so traffic is heavy during summer and holiday periods).

Kingfisher Trail,

Whether it's a weekend trip or a week-long tour, you'll find your perfect holiday on the Kingfisher Trail.

Belfast to Ballyshannon,

Nothing beats the sense of achievement or satisfaction of cycling a coast to coast route.

West Fermanagh Loop,

A classic, uncompromising cycle through the magnificent West Fermanagh countryside.

Ballyshannon to Larne,

It's one of the best coastal routes you're ever likely to ride, stretching from Ballyshannon's Atlantic Coast through L'derry.

Strangford Lough Trail,

Cycle through Saint Patrick's country and around one of Europe's most important wildlife sites.
