The route is fairly flat with the exception of one steep hill. The route follows tarmac paths and includes a section along the lake shoreline.
The walk is part of Highway to Health walking routes - a series of waymarked walking routes throughout Northern Ireland. There is no charge for walk, however there is a £2.00 fee for car parking. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times in the Country Park.

The walk starts adjacent to the car park in Loughgall Country Park. Follow the Highway to Health marker post on the stone path to the t junction where it meets the tarmac roadway. Turn left and continue straight ahead. Follow the yellow highway to health markers for the complete length of the walk.Facilities:
