Marconi Festival

This annual event marks the work of Marconi, Kemp and Granville in 1898 when the world's first commercial signal was sent from Rathlin Island to Ballycastle across water.

This is the 15th year that the event will be held and organised by the Marconi Radio Group. The club will be sending signals across the world on this day from the seafront in memory of the work of the great Marconi that was pioneered in Ballycastle and Rathlin.

An activity 2 filled days with events including live music all day, car boot sale, line dancers, Irish School of Dancing, bouncy castle, official opening of festival, Community Rescue service live demonstrations, static boat displays and much more on Saturday.

Naturally North coast and Glens Artisan Market, live special event amateur radio station all day, dog show, bonnie baby competition, tug of war will close on the Sunday.
