Mourne Textiles & Loom Weaving Workshop

Mourne Textiles was set up in 1954 by Gerd Hay-Edie. It is a handloom weaving workshop producing tweeds, rugs, cushions, tablemats and furnishing fabrics. Work can be seen in progress on all of the nine looms which are in continual action. Designer/Weavers Karen Hay-Edie and Leondra Dand also run weaving courses.

From Rostrevor take road to Kilkeel 4 miles along the road just past Ballyedmond castle brick wall on right. Take a sharp left turn at the yellow sign. Mourne Textiles is behind Killowen Primary School on the right a yellow ochre building with the looms visable through the windows.
