As part of the Autumn Arts festival this lecture on Charlotte Bronte in the bicentenary year of her birth, by Dr Juliet Barker is a must for all literary fans. Mrs Gaskell's The Life of Charlotte Brontë, published in 1857, was the first biography about Charlotte Brontë. Juliet Barker has since published The Bronte's and has received awards for outstanding contribution to literary biography. She will uide the audience through the myths and facts of Charlotte's extraordinary life.
