Changes to the EHOD are inevitable. The latest changes are detailed below. 

Latest Updates

  • EHOD would like to apologise for an error printed in the EHOD 2014 brochure.  The postcode for Tower Hill, Armagh, should read BT61 9DR
  • NEW ENTRY - EHOD are delighted to add St Mark's Church, Dundela, Belfast, to our list of openers.  Please see their web entry here, as they are not featured in the hard copy brochure of pdf.
  • NEW ENTRY - EHOD are delighted to add Downpatrick Court House, County Down, to our list of openers.  Please see their web entry here, as they are not featured in the hard copy brochure of pdf.
  • Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Colebrooke Park will no longer be open to the public over EHOD weekend.  
  • EHOD would like to apologise for an error printed in the EHOD 2014 brochure.  Parliament Buildings will NOT be open on Sunday as published in the hard copy brochure.  Teas are to be booked by contacting Parliament Buildings on 02890 521041 or email supportservices@niassembly.gov.uk
  • EHOD would like to apologise for an error printed in the EHOD 2014 brochure.  The Fall talk will take place on Friday 12th September at 12.30pm, and not as advertised on p. 47 of the brochure.    Please note, pre-booking is essential from 28th August.
  • EHOD would like to apologise for an error printed in the EHOD 2014 brochure.  The Belfast Civic Trust Bus Tour will be on Friday 12th September Only, and NOT on Saturday as published in the brochure.  Please note, pre-booking is essential.
  • The SS Nomadic tours are fully booked.
  • NEW ENTRY - EHOD are delighted to add Tours of St Lucia Barracks, Omagh, to our list of openers.  Please see their web entry here, to book,  as they are not featured in the hard copy brochure of pdf.
  • The Titanic Tour by the Lagan Boat Company NI Ltd is now fully booked.
  • NEW ENTRY - EHOD are delighted to add Armagh County Museum, Armagh, to our list of openers.  Please see their web entry here as they are not featured in the hard copy brochure or pdf.
  • EHOD would like to apologise for an error printed in the EHOD 2014 brochure.  The listing in the County Londonderry section for Coleraine Library should read  that the Library is open Saturday: 9:30am - 5:00pm and Sunday: 1:00pm - 5:00pm.  There is a Heritage Rhytm & Rhyme event on Sunday 14th Sept at 2:30 pm, and no tours or Victorian themed storytime. Correct details are on page 13 of the brochure.
  • EHOD would like to apologise for an error printed in the EHOD 2014 brochure.  The postcode for Ballinderry War Memorial Hall, Antrim, should read BT28 2ER.
  • EHOD are delighted to announce the addition of an evening event - French Baroque Music Concert - at St George's Church, Belfast. On Saturday 13th September at 7.30pm there will be a concert of French Baroque music held in the church. Programme to include music by Jean-Baptiste Lully, André Campra and François Couperin, performed by Rachel Thompson (soprano), Lynda Barrett (soprano), Nuala Murray (mezzo-soprano), Emma Gibbins (organ) and Geoffrey Higgins (harpsichord). Entry by donation. Kindly supported by the music department of Queen's University Belfast. Please see the web entry here.
  • NIEA would like to apologise for the cancellation of the opening of Newtownards Priory over EHOD weekend.  This is due to ongoing conservation works.
  • NEW ENTRY - EHOD are delighted to add the Masonic Hall, Arthur Square, Belfast to our list of openers.  Please see their web entry here, as they are not featured in the hard copy brochure or pdf.
  • The Copeland Bird Observatory tour is fully booked.
  • The Historical Bus Tour of Ring of Gullion is fully booked.
  • EHOD would like to apologise for an error printed in the EHOD 2014 brochure.  The listing in the County Tyrone section for Omagh Library should read that the Family History Workshop is being held on Thursday 11th September, and not Saturday 13th, as advertised on page 83 of the brochure.
  • The Crumlin Road Gaol tours are all fully booked.
  • UPDATE - St Malachy's Church are now offering three free tours as part of EHOD weekend.  On Saturday 13th September there will be a tour at 11am and 3pm, and on Sunday 14th at 3pm.  Opening hours have also been amended for Sunday 14th September.  St Malachy's will now be closing at 4pm.
  • The European Heritage Day Vintage Bus Tours are all fully booked.
  • EHOD would like to apologise for an error printed in the EHOD 2014 brochure.  The listing in the Belfast section for the Georgian Belfast tour should read:  Georgian Belfast.  Although regarded as a Victorian city, Belfast still retains architectural gems from the Georgian period (1714 – 1837). This tour will explore Georgian architecture in its many guises, visiting public architecture at its finest and uncovering hidden terraced housing.  Time and booking information are correct.
  • The tours at BBC Broadcasting House are all fully booked.
  • NEW ENTRY - EHOD are delighted to add The Thomas Andrews Shipbuilder Memorial Hall – known as the Andrews Memorial Hall to our list of openers.  Please see their web entry here, as they are not featured in the hard copy brochure or pdf.
