Once used as a Doctor’s surgery in the 20th century, come and meet a Barber-Surgeon from the 17th century and see how his medicine compares to modern methods; cures for the plague and the pox – guaranteed! Also includes a display of early 17c food and cooking.

Brother Dominic travels with his portable scriptorium and invites all to try their hand with the goose quill pen and oak gall ink as he guides the unlettered through the intricacies of calligraphy.
