New BBC comedy being filmed at Crom, County Fermanagh

26 March

A new BBC comedy starring Jennifer Saunders and Timothy Spall has started filming at Crom in County Fermanagh and will showcase the Earl of Erne's historic retreat to millions of people.

'Blandings' will be based on the celebrated stories by world-famous PG Wodehouse and will be transmitted in the Autumn following 40 days of filming in Fermanagh.

Manager of Crom Castle, Noel Johnston, says "From a tourism point of view this is brilliant for Fermanagh... It takes a lot of money to keep the Castle going so to get something like this is a big boost, not just to us, but to the local area.
