Cradled in mature gardens and green fields, Newforge provides a unique opportunity to stay in an historic Irish Georgian Country House, with luxury accommodation in six en-suite bedrooms.

Built in 1785, Newforge, was briefly restored before opening to guests in May 2005. Original features like fireplaces, sash windows and cornicing have been retained, whilst modern bathrooms and excellent beds have been installed to ensure the ultimate comfort. First class food is an important feature of the welcome to guests. Particular care is taken to source the best local produce and meals carefully prepared by John, a trained chef.

Location / Directions

Directions from Belfast:
Take M1 West following signs for Craigavon until exit 9 for Moira/Lurgan (A3). Continue for approximately 5km. Once in the village of Magheralin take the 1st main left with Byrne’s Pub on the corner onto Newforge Road. Continue through the village for approximately 0.8km until the national speed limit sign. Newforge House is 10metres on left.

Directions from Newry:
Take A1 north towards Belfast. After approximately 30km, turn off left at Dromore onto the B2(Lurgan Road). After 8km turn right onto Newforge Road B9. Continue for approximately 1km over hump back bridge and Newforge House is on right after 200 metres.
