William Kennedy Piping Festival
17 - 20 November 2011 | www.wkpf.org
William Kennedy was an esteemed 18th century inventor, piper and pipe maker – so revered that there’s a festival in his name. This Northern Irish gem brings together pipers from all over the world (as well as the crème de la crème of Irish pipers) to County Armagh.
Organised by the Armagh Pipers Club, this was the first festival of its kind in Europe – famous for the breadth and variety of the live music programme and enchanting atmosphere. The festival is growing in stature and reputation every year.
It’s not to be missed – whether you’re a piper or just a lover of traditional music.
