Official website launched for 2013 All-Ireland Fleadh in Derry~Londonderry
Derry~Londonderry's official website for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2013 has now gone live.
The site www.2013fleadh.ie contains initial information for those wanting to know more about the Fleadh as well as interactive features, useful links and information on the city for visitors planning a trip.
Eibhlín Ní Dhochartaigh, Chairperson of Fleadh 2013 said the site would be very beneficial:
“It is very important for us to keep those interested in the Fleadh up to date with all the latest developments. Even at this stage we have been inundated with requests for information on the Fleadh and on Derry. We have been asked for help from those planning trips from all over Europe, the US, Australia and Asia. This is the first time that Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann has been to the North and many of the visitors we expect will not be familiar with Derry at all. We wanted to make a resource available to both local people and visitors so that we can continue to gather ideas and provide information. The new website is an invaluable resource and we hope that people will find it useful in making 2013 the best Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann ever.”
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is organized by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. It is the largest celebration of Irish traditional music in the world attracting upwards of 250,000 people every year to a series of competitions, workshops and events.
Visitors can connect with the Fleadh via the website www.2013fleadh.ie, the official Facebook page at www.facebook.com/2013fleadh and official Twitter account @fleadh4derry.
