Opening Times
General Working Hours
Most shops and businesses throughout Northern Ireland are open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday as a minimum; 9am to 6pm on Saturdays and some open on Sundays 1pm to 6pm.
Most Shopping Centres, if not all of them will open their stores from 9am to 9pm, Wednesday to Friday.
CastleCourt and Victoria Square and some other major city centre shops are part of the Belfast City Council More Time campaign. This means that they are open from 9am to 7pm Monday to Tuesday and 9am to 9pm every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Most banks are closed from midday Saturday and re-open on Monday morning.
Bank Holidays
Bank holidays are public holidays in the United Kingdom, when banks and many other businesses are closed for the day. In Northern Ireland there are ten permanent bank holidays. These holidays are shown in the table below:
