Oregano is situated in an old country house setting, dating back to 1902 in the County Antrim village of Ballyrobert, on the outskirts of Belfast. Established on the former site of The Ginger Tree, husband and wife team, Dermot & Catherine Regan have been serving modern Irish food with a European influence in this award-winning venue for three years.
Oregano is committed to using locally grown and sourced produce in its ever changing menu that may include signature dishes such as a starter of seared smoked scallops & bacon with crispy garlic, parsley butter and fine shoots, to chargrilled rump of Finnebrogue venison as main course and finishing off with a decadent homemade chocolate parfait with a dark chocolate & griottine cherry fudge.
The Regan’s commitment to providing top class food and service has landed them twice consecutive winner of Best Hospitality Venue at the Newtownabbey Business Awards coupled with mentions in the Michelin and Bridgestone guides to name but a few.
