About

Established by famous and wealthy Victorian-era publican Francis McGlade in 1899, The Pavilion or "The Big House" draws its clientele from all over the city and beyond, and is a must for all those who wish to experience a traditional Belfast pub. The Public Bar on the ground floor is a long hall bar with wooden paneling, high ornate ceiling and a crackling open fire which adds to the cozy intimate atmosphere. The first floor Boutique Bar provides excellent acoustics for live entertainment hosting an eclectic mix that has ranged from Indie, Punk, Metal, Soul and Blues to Burlesque and Prom nights and regular stand-up comedy and pub quizzes. During Saturday and Sunday afternoons the Middle Bar becomes a family restaurant where customers can choose from an extensive menu that provides quality food and wines at very affordable prices. The Loft bar has six well maintained pool tables and the room can be converted to accommodate private functions or night clubs on Saturday nights. The Pavilion boasts a state-of-the-art 16-way HD system throughout the three-storey house giving it a reputation for being the best place in Belfast to watch live sports. We have an extensive range of beers, rums, tequilas and wines with regular monthly offers. Our five-star food is served 12:00 - 21:00 daily. The Pavilion has two beer gardens and disabled amenities.
