This music concert will take place on 21 June 2012 will showcase the iconic new event space at the historic Ebrington site in Derry~Londonderry. The concert will feature Pixie Lott, Imelda May, Newton Faulkner, Guillemots and the Wonder Villains have all been announced!
Peace One Day is an international community headed up by renowned producer Jeremy Gilley, with Jude Law as the main ambassador. The concert will culminate in a spectacular firework display from a barge on the River Foyle.
Celebrating Olympic Truce, the Peace One Day Concert marks the opening of the London 2012 Festival of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and will attract massive media attention and the biggest names in music.
The gig will be wrapped in a city-wide day-long music festival, with something for everyone to enjoy.
Peace One Day is the opening concert for the London 2012 Festival – a 12-week UK-wide celebration featuring leading artists from around the world. The concert which will take place in Ebrington Square in Derry~Londonderry, is one of the first major events to take place as part of the build-up to City of Culture 2013 and is supported by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
The Derry~Londonderry concert is the first show in Northern Ireland for Gilley’s Peace One Day campaign, which in 2001 led a process that resulted in the unanimous adoption by UN member states of the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence. This day is now fixed in the global calendar every year: 21 September is Peace Day.

PIXIE LOTT JOINS BILL FOR PEACE ONE DAY CONCERT IN DERRY-LONDONDERRY
Peace One Day are pleased to announce that Pixie Lott has joined the bill for their upcoming concert in Derry-Londonderry on June 21.
Pixie has been confirmed to take part in the concert alongside Imelda May, Newton Faulkner, Guillemots and The Wonder Villains who will join Peace One Day founder Jeremy Gilley for the opening event of the London 2012 Festival in Derry ~ Londonderry on June 21, with support from Peace One Day ambassador Jude Law.
