Portavoe Reservoir

This small and very attractive reservoir lies on the coast road between Donaghadee and Bangor. With the increasing demands on all public reservoirs, the water level tends to drop considerably in the summer. Successful flies include lure and attractor patterns. Regular stocking of 6000 takeable trout ensures good fishing on this popular fishery. Disabled access.
How To Get There - From Belfast by the A2 via Holywood towards Bangor. Join Bangor Ring Road turning right towards Donaghadee. Continue onthe Ring Road as far as the Groomsport roundabout (fifth and last roundabout). Turn right towards Donaghadee on the A2.
