A forest park at Parkmore, with walks in the mountains by numerous waterfalls. Great possibilities for bird watching, also sea and river fishing. There is a nine hole golf course. Cushendall has a sailing club and Ardclinis Activity Centre can arrange rock-climbing, wind surfing and mountain bike trips.
The beach in Cushendall is somewhat stoney but there are sandy beaches at Waterfoot, 3 miles drive south and Cushendun, 5 miles North. The nearest town Ballymena is 18 miles away. Belfast is 50 miles south of Cushendall and Belfast International Airport is approximately 40 miles away. Larne Ferry Harbour is approximately 35 miles south of Cushendall, from where the Nine Glens are very easily accessible.
Ballycastle is only 15 miles away. There are good grass and hardcore tennis courts as well as a bowling green.
